This video explains the mango flowering cycle in four stages: budding, panicle development, pollination, and fruit set. Small protrusions appear on branches first (budding), then grow into panicles that develop color as they mature. During pollination, insects like ants and flies transfer pollen between the male and female parts of the open flowers. Successful pollination leads to tiny mangoes forming, while unsuccessful flowers dry up and drop — and trees naturally shed excess fruit they can't sustain. A single tree can show all four stages at once, with different branches at different points in the cycle.
